Abstract
During April 2020, inflation was recorded at 0.09 percent month to month. The corona pandemic has reduced purchasing power in a number of areas. The price development of various commodities showed a very slight increase. In April there was 0.08 percent inflation, April 2020 inflation was lower than March inflation of 0.09 percent. Inflation in April this month experienced a slowdown from the previous month. The slowdown in inflation from the previous month was clearly the impact of the COVID outbreak in Indonesia. This inflation is unusual when compared to the previous pattern. When entering the month of Ramadan, inflation increased, but this year it slowed from 0.9 percent in March and 0.08 percent in April, compared to last year also slowed down. The impact of covid-19 caused Indonesia's economic growth in the second quarter of 2020 to decrease/contract by 5.3 percent (y to y) or 4.19 percent (q to q) compared to the first quarter of 2020. Government policies that must be taken in efforts to overcome macroeconomic problems during the Covid pandemic are divided into 2 safety nets, namely, the Social Safety Net by adding and supporting from APBN financing and the Economic Safety Net by providing fiscal and non-fiscal incentives. Other policies that are also implemented to improve the economy are First, the issuance of Perppu 1 of 2020. Second, the issuance of taxation policies. Third, the issuance of Policies in the Financial Sector.
