Abstract

The purpose and study of this research is to find out how the methods, attitudes and policies of the mass media in raising an event of an act of terrorism are then written in the form of news. Based on the theory of framing studies, the mass media in collecting facts, writing facts are based on political interests, economic interests and the vision and mission of the mass media itself. Through framing studies, it is also known that each media will collect facts, discard facts and hide facts based on policies. This research method uses a qualitative approach with news text analysis framing method. The results showed that Detik.com framed this incident as an ordinary criminal act and tended to avoid reporting that led to religious factors as the trigger for the incident.
