Abstract

Online business is buying and selling of goods or services via the internet which involves commercial transactions, for example transferring funds via electronic means. This increases revenue very rapidly. Income is income received from the community for work performance so far, it can be daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. So this income can be used as living capital, business capital, business capital and other needs. Total internet users in 2016 were 132.7 million users, or around 51.5% of Indonesia's total population of 256.2 million. The majority of users come from Java, namely 86,339,350 users or 65% of all internet users. The most visitors were online shops, namely 82.2 million or 62%. The most visited social media isFacebook by 71.6 million or 54%, thenInstagram as much as 19.9 million or 15%. The most trending applications for online businesses are Gojek, Grab, Shoppe, Tokopedia and so on. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. This is done to find out the situation and conditions in this millennial era. By collecting data fromdesk study. Desk study is data collection through analysis of data and information through secondary data obtained from a search in the literature. The resulting data sources come from articles, journals, literature, which are related to this research. The results of this study, based on the data in Figure 1-2, show that internet users based on penetration of 91.7% are millennials or generation Y. It can be seen that internet user penetration is based on age, this millennial generation is included in productive ages, this creates great opportunities for online businesses or businesses. From these data it can be concluded that the more years, the more internet users and it is always growing from previous years. This can be a market that provides enormous potential for businesses/businesses in this country, especially in the millennial era by taking advantage of opportunities by relying on easy internet access.
