Abstract
Plastic is a product made of synthetic materials, its existence is already very worrying, during the COVID-19 pandemic, plastic users increased. Some efforts have been made by the government such as implementing single-use plastic, but this will still be in vain if users do not get enough knowledge about the dangers of plastic. This service activity was designed by the Faculty of Technology, Jayabaya University with students with the theme of providing knowledge to the public about plastic and its types and the economic benefits if it is processed into plastic ore and providing insight that plastic waste can provide a source of income. The targeted community group is the Riyadhul HudaIslamic Boarding School in Bogor Regency, the location of the pesantren which is not far from campus and is located side by side with the community so that it can be a positive thing for the local community. The method used is counseling with 74 participants. From the survey results, it was found that there was an increase in participants' knowledge and insight about zero waste and opportunities for independent entrepreneurs. The output target of this PKM is that students and managers of Islamic boarding schools have knowledge about the types of plastic waste and skills in the process of making materials and are able to apply the basics of simple technology to build a spirit ofndependence and entrepreneurship
