Abstract
Tourism is one of the most significant contributors to Indonesia's national income after the oil and gas sector; Therefore, this sector continues to receive government attention to increase the sustainable growth of the tourism industry. Covid-19 has created uncertainty, so information regarding government policies is very important to convey to the public. This research is a qualitative research with interpretive type. Interpretive research aims to understand social reality which in this context understands the implications of the pandemic for the tourism sector in Indonesia. The data source used in this research is secondary data obtained through internet circulation on the official website. Secondary data that has been successfully obtained by researchers becomes material in conducting data analysis. The results of the research show that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries is making efforts to recover from the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism sector with various policies. This paper describes government policies in the tourism sector, namely the tourism sector recovery program in the context of accelerating the handling of the impact of COVID-19; this is very important because tourism also involves a lot of workers
