Abstract

A recycling process was developed for the recovery of solvent. Recycling will help the environment with the impacts of hazardous chemicals such as solvent organic waste. This paper objective was to study the fractional distillation process for recovering solvent organic waste of used lube oil. The key parameters considered are time (510, 90, 60 and 30 minute) and temperature (115°C, 125°C, 135°C, and 145°C). The experimental result of organic solvent purity was analyzed by Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy. The best result was obtained in distillationtemperature 145°C
